We headed to Vegas for a few days, to ease our transition back into “real life”. We explored Fremont and the Strip. Here we are, enjoying the view from the High Roller. Too expensive, but still pretty cool to see Vegas from a whole new angle.
If you have a few (daylight) hours to kill in Vegas, I’d highly recommend Nomad Free Walking Tours, recently begun by a local who is a former hotel concierge. He’s just starting out, but his walking tour was one of the best we’ve done (and we’ve been on quite a few in the States as well as Europe). Very informative, entertaining, and it gave us a few tips on things to do when we return (other than gamble, of course).
After Vegas, we headed back to Phoenix. We began our search for an apartment, and then spent a few days exploring the Sedona area with Jake’s family (wine and train rides and hikes galore).
We had a great time relaxing before heading back to work. Jake landed a job with a travel company, and I’m working in digital marketing.
Our next adventure… A hot air balloon ride for my birthday!
And many more to come.
